Everyone is welcome at BOX: the new sports bar in Nottingham

Nestled in the heart of Nottingham in a stunning Watson Fothergill building, the newly opened sports bar BOX is quickly becoming a standout for both sports enthusiasts and casual patrons alike. We were invited inside to get an idea of what you can expect.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, and tons of TV screens showing the best in sport! The bar itself is an impressive focal point, stretching down the venue, adorned with a plethora of beverages that cater to every taste. Their extensive selection of drinks, from draught beers to signature cocktails, ensures there's something for everyone, making it a delightful spot to unwind and socialize. And at the end of the bar? A giant disco ball, of course, which pulls you inside a beautiful domed section of the bar, complete with seating and a stage!

Their food menu doesn’t disappoint, either, serving up elevated versions of all your favourites including kebabs and burgers. The portions are generous and go down a treat – the ultimate crowd pleasing menu! They also have a large selection of smaller bites if you don’t want a large meal, or if you want to share a few plates as a group.

Another highlight of this sports bar are the games, which elevate the overall experience. The shuffleboard provides a fun and interactive element, allowing you to engage in friendly competition while enjoying the latest Forest match on the big screens, which are strategically placed around the venue. The rules are even on the walls for anyone (like us) who doesn’t know them! The inclusion of electric darts adds a modern twist to the traditional pub game, offering a fresh and exciting way to spend time with friends.

They have really thought of everything, infusing the bar with fun and joyful decoration, fixtures and fittings which are a fantastic addition to the Nottingham bar scene. Upstairs, for example, you will find a big red button. Don’t ask what it is – just press it. Trust us on that!

Upstairs, they have a couple of function rooms available for hire with your own personal karaoke room! But if you love an audience, they also host a range of fun events in the bar though the week including ‘bandaoke’, where you can perform in front of the live band and live out your rockstar dreams. They also host live music on selected days through the week, making it a perfect mid-week night out destination in Nottingham.
