Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th, Monday 30th, Tuesday 31st October | Notts Maze, Lime Lane Woods | Tickets: £20 pp (or £21pp on 31st October)
Are you up for a chilling challenge this Halloween?
The popular ‘The Corn Evil’ returns to Nottinghamshire for Halloween 2024, challenging the bravest souls to survive the night and conquer the mysteries that lurk within the labyrinth of the corn. And this time, the event includes a unique take on the genre – you have to be as quiet as possible!
The extraordinary performers at ‘Corn Evil’ possess a specialist skill set that sets them apart from other pop-up mazes, as years on the road have honed their senses to the faintest of noises. Any noise could attract their attention – an encounter you'd wish to avoid! The shadows conceal not just secrets but also the ever-watchful eyes of the eerie freak show, on the prowl for new members to join their enigmatic ranks.
This is the perfect event to enjoy for Halloween in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and unmissable for adrenaline seekers!
2. Bramley Apple Festival 2023

If you’re not in the mood for a frightful weekend celebrating Halloween, why not enjoy one of the amazing Autumnal events happening in Nottinghamshire?

There will be children’s activities in the Chapter House too, so feel free to bring along any little ones.
Just across town, you can also celebrate the festival at The Workhouse and Infirmary where they are hosting holding a ‘longest apple peel’ competition out on their main field. Entry to the field will be free for the day, making it the perfect family and budget friendly time that rounds off the whole Bramley Festival experience. Apple printing will also be available.
We also recommend taking a picturesque stroll through Southwell while you’re there. 4. A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story

If the October chill is already making you feel festive, this is the perfect event for you.
Returning for 2023, you can catch Mark Gatiss’ acclaimed theatrical adaptation of this Christmas classic at Nottingham Playhouse until 18th November.
Picture the scene: it's Christmas Eve. As the cold, bleak night draws in, the avaricious Ebenezer Scrooge is confronted by the spirit of his former business partner Jacob Marley. Bound in chains as punishment for a lifetime of greed, the unearthly figure explains it isn't too late for Scrooge to change his miserly ways in order to escape the same fate, but first he'll have to face three more eerie encounters…
The production includes some stunning practical effects to immerse you in the story. This is complemented by the theatre itself, as you will find yourself drawn into the action whenever you sit.
