Ever considered how a cold beer and conversation about scientific discovery goes hand in hand? Well, this festival aims to bring thousands of scientists and their research out of the lab and into the pubs, cafes and places near you to share their scientific discoveries. The festival includes a free gallery exhibition, workshops (children accessible) and live art and science performances in both the Nottingham city centre and Beeston.

2. Albino Mosquito: The Moment

The Nottingham Contemporary offers the weird and wonderful with Albino Mosquito - the screening of brain-controlled movie “The MOMENT”. Using data gathered from the brain there are over 18 billion possible narrative combinations to explore, meaning every screening is completely unique. Directed by Richard Ramchurn & Audibly improvised by live musicians.

4. Britten St Nicolas - Nottingham Harmonic Choir

A visit to Southwell Minster this Saturday will engage you with visual and audible beauty. Nottingham Harmonic Choir will be performing Britten's mesmerising cantata St Nicolas, featuring the amazing tenor soloist Christopher Turner and choristers from Southwell Minster. Expect storms, murder, resurrections, and other miracles in this wonderful story.

5. Myths and Legends with the Master at Arms

Saturday 20 May | 11am – 12:30pm I RSPB Sherwood Forest I Tickets £5 - £4 for RSPB Members

Where better to envelop yourself in the history and legends of Robin Hood than Sherwood Forest itself. The Sheriff of Nottingham’s very own Master at Arms Sir William de Tankerville will regale you with the tales of legend and myth as you amble across the land in pursuit of the Merry Men.
