Fireworks & Bonfire Celebrations It’s time to wrap up warm and get ready to exercise your oohs and ahhs as the sky comes to life with colourful displays this weekend. There’s plenty of fireworks and bonfire celebrations to suit every taste, many set against the beautiful backdrop of some of Nottinghamshire’s most scenic country houses and castles. Get ready to be wowed at the beautiful Belvoir Castle on Saturday for a wonderful autumnal evening. Get toasty by the fire and enjoy the spectacular display and live entertainment or warm up with a decadent Baileys hot chocolate. Over at the historic Kelham Hall their Fireworks Extravaganza has live music and fairground rides for a fun filled evening, alongside hot food to keep you cosy, and a bar. On Sunday, charity MySight Nottinghamshire are putting on their annual and much-loved bonfire event filled with family fun entertainment, fairground attractions and delicious food at Nottingham Racecourse. to raise funds for their amazing work. Children will love the spectacular fireworks and laser show disco at Conkers and there’s plenty more to keep them entertained all evening, with fairground amusements, balloon modelling and a range of craft activities, running Saturday and Sunday. Make a day of it over at Twinlakes Family Theme Park on Saturday, and enjoy the farm park and all of the rides and attractions before a spectacular firework show.
