iJump | Visit Nottinghamshire

Sunday afternoons usually mean a day of rest with a roast dinner and time to catch up on last week’s TV. However, having two children aged 9 and 11, this can sometimes mean a constant moan of “Mum, we’re bored!" Therefore, what better way for them to burn off some energy than spending an hour at i-Jump Indoor Trampoline Park in Mansfield.

With two of their school friends joining them, we were booked in to bounce at 1pm. All the relevant waivers were easily completed on-line and once we got there, the checking in procedure was simple. I downloaded the completed waiver forms to my phone, but this was not needed as all I had to do was give their names and date of birth.

Once checked in, we were asked to ensure we could be available for the safety video 20 minutes prior our jump time. Then at 1pm, they were given access to the trampoline area and off they went while I got a coffee and watched from the upstairs café area.

There were lots for them to do – swapping from one of the 55 interconnected trampolines, to the monkey bars, battle beam, cargo nets and finally the elevated launch pad – which is not for the fainthearted!

After half an hour, up they came to the café - red faced and needing refreshment!  This was just a pit-stop as no sooner had they had downed their drinks, they were off again.

Being able to watch them from the upstairs open café meant that I could see that all four were having a wonderful time – making full use of all the facilities. The staff were great with ensuring the kids at the centre interacted with one another.

After their time was up, they joined me in the café for chips and a well-deserved drink – all four clearly had a good work out and were raving about what was their favourite piece of equipment.

In the car on our way home all I could hear was "when can we come again?" – which to me proves a successful visit.
