Wheee! International Children's Theatre and Dance Festival Lakeside Arts Theatre Monday 29 May - Sunday 4 June 2017

The Wheee! International Children’s Theatre and Dance Festival is a jam packed jamboree of fun events for the whole family. Now in its 13^th year the event is a staunch favourite in the Lakeside's calendar, with a selection of national and international performers, interactive activities and a buzzing atmosphere of fun and theatrics. The star attraction of the show no doubt is the world premiere of Albesila Luminarium – an intriguing, iridescent walk through experience created by Nottingham company Architects Of Air. Introduce the kids to the world of performance.

Now in their 40^th year, Castle Rock Brewery are firmly placed in Nottingham’s extensive history of brewing good ale. With a number of pubs throughout the county and a selection of tasty ales celebrating local heroes, you know you can’t go wrong when you see the Castle Rock logo. Join them at the Vat & Fiddle to celebrate their work so far over the past four decades, with hearty street food, some great local bands and of course some cracking pints of Castle Rock ale!

Paddle In The Park National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont Country Park 3rd and 4th June 2017

Since the weather seems to have officially warmed up a bit, the idea of splashing about in cool refreshing waters seems highly appealing. At the National Water Sports Centre’s Paddle in the Park Festival there is a great variety of activities to get involved in from kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to the more challenging white water rapids. It's not purely aquatic fun however- if you’re feeling like a couple of hours out of the water you can check out the live music, on land activities and tuck in to a delicious hog roast too!

Hello Notts Tours: Nottingham Highlights & Nottingham Heroes Tour Starts at The Left Lion, Market Square Regular Tours Every Sunday 11am & 2pm (starting 4th June)

Nottingham has a rich history and though it’s not all Robin Hood his spirit of unconventional rebellion runs deep in our heritage. Join local history expert Bryn for a leisurely walk around the city, recounting 1000 years of history and discover how the city has become the place we know today. While the Nottingham Highlights tour at 11am gives a more general outlook, the Nottingham Heroes at 2pm looks at the famous and infamous of our city’s past, from sporting heroes to literary luminaries.
