Spain has done diners everywhere a great gastronomic service by declaring today as World Tapas Day! We're joining in the international celebration of small plates by sharing some of our favourite places for a Spanish food fiesta in Notts! Iberico Worlds Tapas Located in the grade II listed county Gaol building in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, in the award winning restaurant combines classic tapas dishes with modern global cuisine. Tapastry Serving the fresh Spanish dishes in the trendy Hockley area of the city, Tapastry is just the place to go for a bit of Mediterranean Sunshine on a cloudy day. Escabeche  Found in cosmopolitan West Bridgford, Escabeche uses local ingredients to create inventive dishes served from breakfast through to evening. The Rum House Try Tapas with a Caribbean twist, enjoyed with exotic cocktails from the resident Bad Juju Tiki Bar upstairs. Bar Esquina A lively Spanish themed bar serving light bites alongside Mahou beer, Spanish reds and quirky cocktails from 5pm to 5am. Baresca Tucked away on Byard Lane, just off busy Bridlesmith Gate, Baresca brings an authentic taste of Barcelona to Nottingham. Expect an extensive menu from morning til night and look out for live music nights in their Cellar Bar too. Las Iguanas The vibrant restaurant in the city's Chapel Quarter mixes up Tapas with South American flavours and also has a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu. Tapas Nights at Strays On Friday evenings, Strays Cafe in Newark switches coffee and cakes for Tapas Nights, where you can try all their favourite dishes on the tasting menu.
