It was revealed on Saturday, 29 March, that Ade Andrews of the Robin Hood Town Tour took second place in the national Tourism Superstar Awards. On behalf of Experience Nottinghamshire and Ade Andrews, we thank you for all of your support. The winner of the awards went to Buzby Allen from Potters Resort in Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk. Buzby took 27% of the vote and Ade was not far behind with 24%! VisitEngland’s tourism awards recognises the dedication and passion of those working in the tourism industry. It is awarded to individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure visitors to England have a priceless experience. But, as one door closes, another door opens! Ade’s Robin Hood Town Tour has been named as a finalist in the Tourism Experience category of the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2014. Robin Hood Town TourAs a finalist, Ade’s Robin Hood Town Tour now goes forward to the Awards Ceremony which is being held on Monday 12 May 2014 at Cheltenham Racecourse. Ade will have to wait until the Awards Ceremony to find out which award his Robin Hood Town Tour will receive but all finalists are guaranteed to receive either a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly Commended Award.   Jennifer Spencer, Chief Executive, Experience Nottinghamshire, said: “Ade is a very worthy runner-up and has done extremely well to get to this stage in the Tourism Superstar awards.  The accolade recognises Ade’s passion and enthusiasm for his role and we would like to thank everyone in the Nottinghamshire area who supported our nomination by voting for Ade.
