Don Logan is the Events Manager at Adrenalin Jungle, based in Sherwood Forest. Adrenalin Jungle is Nottinghamshire's largest outdoor activity centre and offers a wide range of activities including paintball, quads, segway, archery, karting and many more. The centre is ideal for anyone wanting an active break in Nottinghamshire's great outdoors and the legendary Sherwood Forest.
"Obviously one of my favourite places has to be our own 150 acres of Sherwood Forest. Having started the business from scratch, I have seen the site change more than anyone but even now it’s amazing to see how it still changes from day to day and season to season. Whilst it’s great to see it buzzing with customers on event days it is one of my most favourite spots to walk the dogs (Oz and Hooch) out of hours. When the activity centre is closed I truly feel connected to the site as I have spent the best part of 17 years of my life there.
My second spot would be the Lambley Dumbles. I am fortunate enough to live right next to them so it’s just two minutes of walking along the road before we are walking through amazing fields and woods. It is also helped by the fact that the Dumbles lead to Lambley village where there are a couple of great pubs, one of which welcomes dogs inside so the dog gets the reward of water whilst I enjoy a beer.
My third spot is the terrace on [Rocket at] Saltwater Bar on the 3rd floor of the Cornerhouse. I am not a big town-goer these days but on a sunny afternoon there is no place better (in my opinion) to sit and look out at our marvellous city whilst enjoying good service, great company and a cheeky drink.
My fourth and final spot is a tough one as it's split between two locations but I am hoping I am allowed it as it’s kind of the same thing. That place is in a seat watching my two favourite Nottingham teams compete. Those teams are Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team who I have supported for over 20 years, and Nottingham Rugby who I have only been following for four seasons - I love to support Nottingham anyway I can and so from a sports perspective it's these two that I follow."
