This week we are sharing Jon Burgerman’s favourite places in Nottinghamshire. If you would like to share your ‘favourites’ with us, email us at social@experiencenottinghamshire.com or use the comment section below. Currently living in New York, Jon has just released his second book My American Summer in which he tells of his trip from Nottingham to Los Angeles and New York. Jon Burgerman will also have a stand at the Nottingham Contemporary Design & Craft Market on August 4th and 5th. For more information on Jon Burgerman please visit http://jonburgerman.com/ "My favourite and most missed haunt in Nottingham is probably Desi Downtown. I remember the first time I popped in there when it first opened and I wept a little with joy at having a really good Indian restaurant in Hockley, so near my flat and town. The Dal Makhani is my favourite dish. I'd probably visit once a week and always just before I had a trip away somewhere or had just returned to the city. I also really like Kayal too, next to the brilliant Broadway Cinema. My general Nottingham life was often spent travelling between these locations, plus the post office and occasionally nipping into Lee Rosy's for a chunky sandwich and tea."
