Kinga studied English and Spanish at Tischner European University in Poland and completed her BA degree in Applied Linguistics before receiving a scholarship from Nottingham Trent University and moving to Nottingham to complete her MA degree in the same field.
Kinga selected NTU from a choice of 5 European universities because of its fantastic humanities and linguistic departments. The other important reason behind her decision was Nottingham’s rich literary heritage and the legend of Robin Hood - who wouldn’t like to study in Robin’s hometown? While finalising her MA degree, Kinga started work at Visit Nottinghamshire (then Experience Nottinghamshire) and now works in the marketing team promoting the region to both leisure and business visitors.
Kinga loves all things digital and new media related, reading Stephen King, East Asian culture, ghostly encounters, and learning all about Nottingham’s hidden gems, legends and rebellious past.
There are loads of fun facts scattered around Nottinghamshire which are worth a mention. One of them is a mysterious metal line that runs down the middle of Old Market Square; it marks the wall that used to divide the animal market from the grain and commercial market way back in the day. Who knew?! 😊
