Nottingham Trent University - City Campus
Practical courses for the artists, designers and writers of the future who wish to develop a competitive portfolio and experience university life.
NTU take pride in their quality teaching, student support services, and commitment to sustainability - all of which have won several awards. Their dedication to these areas shines through in all of their courses and has helped to make NTU one of the most popular universities in the UK.
NTU's programme is delivered by experts who understand what university admissions tutors are looking for.
As a summer school student, you'll have the chance to ask questions, experience university life and ultimately make an informed decision about your future.
The summer school is popular with people from all corners of the UK, across Europe and throughout the world. NTU will provide you with ideas of things to do in the evenings, and the freedom to explore them at your own pace.
If you’d like to stay on campus during your summer school, they offer single rooms in shared apartments in their halls of residence, just a minute’s walk to the summer school studios and all of Nottingham's attractions. This also counts towards your Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold Residential award.
Each week NTU offer two social events which are free to attend. Last year this included 10-pin bowling and entry to a games cafe. These are optional to attend and a great way to make new friends on your course.
Prices:
Course: £525.00 + (optional) Accommodation: £259.00
Courses Available:
If you are interested in a course that doesn't have a linked webpage, please contact us on creativeshortcourses@ntu.ac.uk to find out more.
Social Events:
NTU appoint Student Ambassadors who host social events on Monday and Wednesday evening to help you make friends across the whole of their summer school programme for 15 -17 year olds, which are free to attend.
Duke of Edinburgh:
A course can count as your Gold DofE Residential Award and is an amazing oppertunity to make new friends and memories. It will be fun and gently challenging, allowing you to follow your passion and discover talents you never knew you had.
DofE participants must book both the course and accommodation on campus for this to count towards your Gold Award.
You must also attend the social events that are planned on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and you must plan and attend your own social activities with other participants on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Accommodation is booked separately here.
You can find out more about NTU's facilities, tutors and how to book your place on the NTU website.
