Let's meet the acts:

Dave Twentyman (Closer)

Dave Twentyman
Dave Twentyman
Dave is upbeat, cheery, down to earth, friendly, warm, and quick on his feet…just some words that have been used to describe one of the most naturally funny comics on the UK comedy circuit today.

He has performed at a number of music festivals such as Leeds, V Festival and Download. It's no wonder then that Dave is one of the few modern comedians who proudly feature on the Blackpool Comedy Carpet – a relatively new tourist attraction featuring the names of comedy greats from past and present and a huge honour for any comic.

He's an affable, quick-witted comedian who somehow survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving a rapid, startlingly bright pattern and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow.

With jokes and tales that you can't help but relate to, he endears himself to even the rowdiest of audiences with ease and quite rightly is in hot demand at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK and overseas.

Dave has appeared on Made In The Northwest (ITV) and his radio credits include XFM Manchester, BBC Manchester & Key 103.

Barry Dodds (MC)

Barry Dodds

Barry is an award-winning MC and comedian, and has won best MC at the Midlands Comedy Awards four consecutive times. He effortlessly charms audiences with his unique brand of disarming wit and wry, down to earth observational humour.

In 2015, Barry co-created The Parapod, a podcast debating the existence of the paranormal, explored hauntings and the unknown. Three series, over 3 million downloads, sold out live shows and specials later, The Parapod Movie was unleashed on the show's many loyal fans hitting the Apple Movie Top Ten movie chart immediately and gathering much praise from both fans and critics alike. The Parapod movie is now available on Amazon Prime.

A talented storyteller, Barry is an assured act with regular bookings across the UK's top comedy clubs including The Glee Club, Frog and Bucket, Manford's and Hifi. Barry has recently been supporting Jason Manford on his Like Me tour and many other artists in the past including Jim Jefferies, Tape Face, Dan Nightingale, Hayley Ellis, Scott Bennett and Pete Firman. He has also performed at many festivals, including Kendal Calling, Download and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Barry also has a podcast with fellow comedian Hayley Ellis called The Worriers where they fight with their anxieties, fears, OCDs and general bad thinking.

Jonny Awsum (Opener)

Jonny Awsum is an award-winning comedian who has charmed audiences all around the world with his high-energy performance style and unique brand of musical comedy.

After building his reputation on the UK comedy circuit, where he is a regular headliner and closing act, Jonny shot to national fame on Britain's Got Talent. His TV performances won standing ovations and unanimous praise from the judges and went viral on the internet, racking up over 50 million views on YouTube.

Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, a starring role in his first pantomime, and tour support to both Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their hit UK theatre tours.

After being inundated with requests to perform his own tour, Jonny created the show 'Jonny Awsum is Coming to Town' and played to full houses in many of the UK's towns before COVID-19 put a temporary halt on live performances.

Undeterred, Jonny set about writing a virtual show specifically for youngsters. The show proved a hit, winning Best Kids' Show at the 2021 Leicester Comedy Festival and is now being booked for live performances by family-friendly festivals and events all across the country.

In 2022, Jonny performed at the Glastonbury Festival, supported Jason Manford in arenas around the country and recorded his 2000th show for a new live album.

Jonny regularly pops up on TV and radio. He has featured on BBC Breakfast, GMTV, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and Absolute Radio and has appeared in TV commercials for brands including Cravendale, EDF, The Post Office, VW and Samsung.

Jules O'Brian (Middle)

Jules O'Brian

Jules O'Brian first took to the stage in 2017, at The Comedy Loft, in Birmingham, as part of a night for charity. A keen fan of Rik Mayall, French and Saunders, Victoria Wood, and Joan Rivers, as well as Katherine Ryan, Tim Minchin, Amy Schumer, and the Brum-based Luisa Omielan, Jules states her stand-up style is "Butter wouldn't melt meets Is That All There Is?" (a reference to the dark song made famous by singer Peggy Lee).

An English Tutor, Jules currently lives in Tamworth, Staffordshire, and performed a sell-out 'triple-header' with pals Tal Davis and Hannah Weetman during 2021's Birmingham Comedy Festival.

Jules O'Brian was shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, and performs at venues and festivals around the country, telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating. She is TalkTalk's official voice – chosen by none other than the legend Bernard Cribbins – and her silly writings feature frequently in magazines including Prima and MamaLife. This former teacher's relaxed and chatty style, crowd interaction and warmth, all served with a sardonic wit, make her a natural crowd pleaser.

Please be advised that our comedy line-ups are subject to change. Our talented comedians are in high demand and, on occasion, may need to cancel at short notice for television or radio recordings, among other reasons. Rest assured, we will always provide a replacement act of similar quality to ensure that our guests receive a great overall show experience.

While most of our guests come for the entire show, we understand that some may be traveling to see a particular comedian. If that's the case, we recommend checking our website on the day of the show or joining our mailing list to receive the latest updates on any changes to the line-up. We're committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience, and we thank you for your understanding.
