"Hats off to a true heart and soul performer" – Pee Wee Ellis

"Exciting stuff!" – Clare Teal, BBC Radio 2

"A bright, passionate performing light on the UK Jazz scene playing an enjoyable mix of Jazz, from classics through to real funky interpretations of modern mainstream music" – Jazz in Europe

Kim Cypher is one of the UK's most exciting and exuberant saxophonists, vocalists, composers and band leaders. A regular performer on the London and UK jazz circuit, with the success of three highly acclaimed albums, award-winning music videos, performance in New York and sell-out performances at world-renowned Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Kim has firmly secured a reputation for delivering the highest quality performance with incredible style, passion, energy, and charisma together with her renowned vivacious stage presence and warm connection with all audiences.

Kim will captivate you in a spellbinding performance, sharing positive energy through her music and audience repartee. Together with her highly respected band, Kim will debut at Peggy's Skylight, showcasing original music from her new album Catching Moments together with a great mix of saxophone and vocal jazz, Latin, Blues, swing and funky grooves.

Inspired by the funkier side of jazz and having studied alongside US saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis and internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, Kim's style of performance is best described as 'funky saxophonist meets 1940s jazz singer'. Her all-round skills as a saxophonist, vocalist, composer, lyricist, band leader, front-person, and radio host with a natural ability to connect with all audiences, set Kim apart as a unique 'full package' for the very best in jazz performance.

Kim has performed and recorded with some of the country's finest jazz musicians including Pee Wee Ellis, Ray Gelato, Liane Carroll, David Newton, Ashley Slater, Antonio Forcione, with her regular band personnel including some of the most highly respected musicians on the UK jazz circuit.
