Heritage Open Day at Trent Bridge

Step into the historic 1886 Pavilion at Trent Bridge and explore the rich history of one of the world’s most famous cricket grounds. During your visit to the Long Room, delve into stories from Trent Bridge's past, including its role during both World Wars, the various sports played on its hallowed turf, and the exciting redevelopment plans for this iconic venue.

Discover Trent Bridge's best-kept secret: the UK’s second-largest cricket library and archive. Meet the dedicated team of volunteers who are uncovering and sharing the Library's fascinating contents. Learn about the heritage programme at Trent Bridge, witness book conservation in action, and even try your hand at cleaning a book.

Whether you're a cricket fan or just interested in local history, this event offers something for everyone. Enjoy captivating stories of social history and local interest, all within the historic setting of Trent Bridge.

Please note: There is no parking available within the cricket ground. Entrance is on foot through the Dixon Gates, next to the Ticket Office and opposite the small Co-op store on Bridgford Road. Refreshments can be found at nearby pubs, cafes, and restaurants.

This event is part of the 'Heritage Open Day' programme, so admission is completely free.
