Violinist and sound artist, Ruby Colley and her quartet perform music from her album Overheard and her follow up EP, Underheard. Ruby is a composer who blends instrumentation, found sound and electronics, and her work seeks to unravel the connections between nature, improvisation and folk music.

Released in April 2022, Overheard and was the culmination of two years creative development, supported by Arts Council England. A further EP: Underheard was released in February 2023 bringing together strings, field recordings and synths. Overheard seeks to unravel human presence and nature in response to the climate crisis. Using field recordings as launch pads for the work, their place weaves from centre stage to sonic background. All the while, Violin, Double Bass, percussion and electronics finds its way through the spaces.
