Nottinghamshire serves up a host of talent on the court each year at the Rothesay Open Nottingham - a combined women's and men's tennis tournament of WTA International level and ATP Challenger level. The event attracts tennis stars from around the world to compete for the grass court crown.
Nottingham Tennis Centre has a fantastic selection of indoor and outdoor tennis courts and has hosted many prestigious tournaments over the years, including the Federation Cup, the World Veteran Championships, the Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup and the Davis Cup (Britain v India). Each year they host the Nottingham Open, which is one of the key grass court events as top male and female stars warm up for Wimbledon.
The centre is situated in the leafy suburbs of Nottingham, just a short bus or tram journey from the city centre. Located just a short walk from the University of Nottingham's green campus with its boating lake and the open spaces of Highfields Park to enjoy in the summer sun. You're also a short ride away from the bustling town of Beeston where you'll find a variety of traditional pubs, bars and restaurants.
