Shopping in Nottingham

With its compact size and largely pedestrianised streets, Nottingham city centre makes for a highly enjoyable shopping trip, and you can easily spend a day or two exploring and shopping to your heart's desire. What's more, indulging in a tasty treat from in one of the city centre's excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants is the perfect way to recharge when you've had enough (or just need a little break!)

Victoria Centre is the main shopping centre in the city and includes brands such as John Lewis, H&M, Levi's and House of Fraser to name just a few. You can also find big name brands like Dr Marten's in The Exchange Arcade and designer labels like Vivienne Westwood in Flying Horse Walk.

Looking for something a little different? No worries! As you explore the above shopping centres and the streets of Nottingham, you'll come across an array of unique independent shops, built on decades of experience, great specialist knowledge and selling fabulously unique items. Our favourite spots for indie shopping include Hockley and the Lace Market, Derby Road, Bridlesmith Walk, Hurts Yard, and The West End Arcade. Market towns, the county, and further afield

If you’re out exploring the countryside or visiting one of the many market towns and villages in Nottinghamshire, there are even more fantastic independent shops where you can indulge in a little retail therapy or pick up some delicious local produce. You can also enjoy some fantastic markets such as the Ruddington Village Market on the first Saturday of the month from February - December.

The East Midlands Designer Outlet is one of the largest shopping centes outside of the city, just off Junction 28 of the M1.
