Beautiful Nottinghamshire
Spring is a great time to get out and discover the gardens, beauty spots and nature reserves in your area. One of the greenest cities in the UK, with a massive 74 Green Flag Award Parks and a county full of lush countryside greener than Robin Hood’s hat, there’s no shortage of places to visit in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Take a look at our Great Outdoors page for inspiration, or plan a perfect picnic with our guide to independent cafes and delis where you can fill your basket and pretty parks nearby. Or why not make a day of it with a walk in Highfields Park before taking to the boating lake? The lake usually re-opens from early April with canoes, row boats and KataKanus available to rent.
