After the stresses and strains of 2020, you’d be forgiven for feeling more scrooge than Santa’s elf this festive season. So, we headed to the brand-new socially-distanced illumination trail at Wollaton Hall to see if it would help us shake of the seasonal blues and embrace the Christmas spirit. Spoiler alert: It's magical. 

Channel the rebellious spirit of Robin Hood through interactive galleries, explore the picturesque grounds, go beneath the castle rock on a tour of the cave system, and see the lace and alabaster collections that put Nottingham on the map.

Lockdown is slowly lifting, but it might still be a while before we can return to our much-loved pubs, cultural venues and attractions, leaving us all with a bit more time to fill.
