Musical chemistry is a rare, intangible thing. But for Andy Platts and Shawn Lee, the creative force behind Young Gun Silver Fox the unmalleable, unspoken connection that gives their work such a unique and distinctive sound was apparent from their first experiences in a studio together. Andy Platts and Shawn Lee need no introduction, having each clocked up a life time of musical brownie points, whether through Andy's career as a world renowned composer and singer/songwriter/guitarist with British soul sensations Mamas Gun or through Shawn's esteemed work as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer which has placed him at the forefront of the global soul and funk community.

Taking their name from Andy's standing as youngest band member and Shawn's resplendent silver locks, and sensing they were kindred musical spirits, the duo set about crafting a shared love of the smooth sounds of '70s pop-soul and artist's such as Ned Doheny, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan and the breezy, west coast.

The duo's fourth studio album, Ticket To Shangri La (released October 21st 2022) showcases a band at the very top of their game, fine-tuning their potent brew of sun-kissed pop-soul, west coast AOR and natural groove with a skill for composition and production that sees them forging ahead down a musical highway blessed with blue skies and positive vibrations. For both participants, the chance to make a new record together is always a liberating experience, as Andy explains; "I always come back to Young Gun Silver Fox like taking a drive to the coast and I just smell the ocean and the air and it's like 'wicked I'm back here again' and I can just kick back and enjoy it."

The band are touring internationally throughout 2023, hitting both major festival stages and selling out headline tours.
