Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall
Tickets: £9.50
The Hallé Conductor Delyana Lazarova Presenter Ruth Rosales
Great orchestral music is everywhere, in films, TV shows and even video games, but there's no better way to hear it than in a live concert. Our Drivetime Concert is an hour of fantastic music played by the amazing musicians of the Hallé and it's the perfect place to hear an orchestral performance for the first time. The concert is informal and fun, and our presenter, Ruth Rosales, will introduce the pieces from the stage.
The concert starts at 6pm so you'll be able to escape the rush hour and still have plenty of time afterwards to grab a meal in town or get home to put the kids to bed!
This year's concert features the music of the Americas, from the gritty sounds of New York's streets in Bernstein's West Side Story to the screen magic of John Williams' score to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.
This programme is full of dancing tunes so you can also look forward to a bit of twisting and shimmying with some lively audience participation. See below for the full programme line-up.
