Where else can you meet the Bride of Frankenstein, The Man-Eating Caterpillar and Medusa?

Get acquainted with Sherwood Forests world famous ancient oaks by joining a tree expert. Sherwood Forest has one of the highest densities of ancient oaks in the world. These impressive trees provide vital habitat for an abundance of species and play a crucial role in supporting the health of the forest.

The walk leader will introduce you to a handful of these giants, giving you an insight into the life of a veteran oak. You will also get to hear the legendary tales of trees such as Rotten Roger and how they got their names.

The walk will last approximately 90 minutes, and please bring suitable clothing and footwear.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but should be kept on leads.

This walk is for all ages, although it may be challenging for families with pushchairs.
